The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) aligned their State Systemic Improvement Plan and State Personnel Development Grant initiatives with the goal of creating an effective MTSS infrastructure to achieve improved academic outcomes for students. The improvement work included professional development activities and when the COVID pandemic hit, the team needed to rethink how to support learning opportunities in a virtual setting. This spotlight highlights how DDOE used a book study strategy to support virtual professional learning opportunities to continue build educator and leader capacity.
