SEA Leadership Learning Collaborative
The State Education Agency Leadership Cross-State Learning Collaborative (SEAL CSLC) provides state special education directors and assistant directors opportunities to meet with their peers to build capacity for organizational development, talent management, strategic resource allocation, and navigating the complexities of leading systemic change.
SEAL has numerous cohorts to meet the needs of particular leaders, including:
- Directors’ Discussion Groups for Small, Medium, and Large States (aligned with Child Count size)
- First Year Directors’ Group
- Second Year Directors’ Group
- Assistant Directors’ Group
Individualized Coaching & Mentoring
We provide 1:1 coaching and mentoring for state special education directors. Our coaches all have experience in the role of state special education director and can help guide today’s leaders to effectively implement IDEA and build strong SEA organizations.
Our coaches offer a safe space to test ideas with a trusted advisor before sharing ideas with teams, to debrief concerns about internal or external deliberations, and to problem-solve for situational contexts and issues.
